Dr. Timothy Nichols Dr. Timothy Nichols serves as the Medical Director of the Emerald Coast Urgent Care Center. He opened the clinic to serve the needs of the community. "Illness can strike at any time and people shouldn't have to wait to feel better", says Dr. Nichols. Dr. Nichols is a native of Newport News, Virginia and has been a resident of the Emerald Coast for the past ten years. He completed his undergraduate studies from the College of William and Mary and attended Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, to complete his medical degree. Dr. Nichols conducted his internship at Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News, Virginia, and traveled south to attend Louisiana State University Medical Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to complete his residency in Emergency Medicine. Dr. Nichols is board certified in emergency medicine by the American College of Emergency Physicians and the National Board of Medical Examiners. He has over ten years experience working as an emergency medicine physician in a busy, high acuity Emergency Department. He is passionate about all activities involving the outdoors. He enjoys deep-sea fishing, hunting and spending time with family and friends.
